DANCE AUDITION AND CALL BACKS- MONDAY, NOVEMBER 27TH.

  • Dance Auditions for Theatre I for Ages 9-12: 1:00pm- 2:00pm.
  • Dance Auditions for Theatre II for Ages 13 & up: 3:30pm- 4:30pm.
  • CALL BACKS- 4:30pm- 5:45pmOnly those invited for callbacks are needed to stay for callbacks.  ​list of students needed for Monday's callbacks will be posted online on Tuesday,Nov. 21st after both days of vocal /acting auditions. 



CALL BACK AUDITION INFORMATION

Callbacks consist of cold readings from the script.   Callbacks will also be singing the song for the character that you are being called for* Be familiar and prepare the provided sides/ scenes.

Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST MainStage Auditions are for students enrolled in "Theatre I for Ages 9-12" & "Theatre II for Ages 13 & up".  


​"Scenes and Songs from BEAUTY AND THE BEAST" Auditions are for students enrolled in Creative Drama Ages 5-8- auditions are during CD's regular class time on Monday, Nov., 20th.

ACTING AUDITION:Acting auditions take place at the same time as your vocal audition. 
THEATRE I FOR AGES 9-12 - Prepare one of the provided monologues, MUST BE MEMORIZED.

Pick any monologue you like (females pick a female character monologue and males pick a male character monologue). 
The monologue you choose does not have any bearing on which roles you will be considered for.
We are looking for actors who make strong choices and show us character movement as well as voice.
You might be asked to do your monologue a second time with additional direction.
The best way to prepare is to actually practice this out loud in a full voice! Pair up with a partner and present your monologues to each other! 
Practice out loud in front of your mom or dad! Video record yourself on your phone and watch for ways to improve! 



THEATRE II FOR AGES 13 & UP -

The Singing Audition- PREPARE ONE OF THE BELOW SONGS

EACH STUDENT IN THIS AGE GROUP MUST PREPARE ONE OF THE PROVIDED SONGS: ALL males must sing "If I Can't Love Her"; measures 37 to the end. ALL females must sing "Home"; measures 86 to the end.

     All Females- "Home" - see link below for sheet music. You begin singing at 2:43 on the guide vocal and accompaniment track

2) Advanced/ Experienced Theatre II Students -may also sing a 60 second portion of a second song from their audition repertoire.  Please list the additional song on the audition form and you must be prepared to play the 2nd song on your phone, LYT will not be playing the track for you.
