Sibling discounts are available for LYT drama classes- Sibling discounts only apply if two or more students are in drama classes (they do not need to be the same drama class, but you cannot take a sibling drama discount if the other child is only taking dance) and discount is taken from the least expensive drama class.

This class draws on the high-energy and creativity of this age group in order to introduce our youngest thespians to the basic concepts of theatre. Students will learn about the theatrical elements of plot, setting, theme, and character through the medium of storytelling. Each class students will focus on a particular element through show and tell, a craft, group story time, and beginning theatre games. Creative Drama performs an end of the year production for family.

Students in both LYT Drama for Ages 9-12 classes have the opportunity to perform in LYT's Mainstage all new production in the spring. Class time extends in spring to accommodate rehearsal for spring production and a production fee is due to offset costs (can be done with no additional out of pocket)
BEGINNING/ FIRST YEAR DRAMA FOR AGES 9-12-Mon.,1PM- 2PM
This class is designed to develop the confidence and creativity of the actor. Students will study correct vocal projection, stage movement, character development, and objective based acting. The class begins with group exercises and will also include opportunities for individual development and partner work.
this class is for those LYT students who have already taken LYT's Drama for Ages 9-12. This class will cover ensemble work/team work, movement, voice, scene and play analysis, scene work including an emphasis on objectives, obstacles, and acting techniques, improvisational skills, character analysis and performance, monologues and audition skills.

This class will strengthen and enhance skills in ensemble work/team work, movement, voice, scene and play analysis, scene work including an emphasis on character development and emotional truth, improvisational skills, character analysis and performance, audition skills, career paths, designing, directing and playwriting. Students in LYT Drama for Ages 13 & up have the opportunity to perform in LYT's Mainstage all new production in the spring. GROUP VOICE -(Ages 9 & up) Monday,12:30pm-1pm,
This course will teach students the basics of vocal technique including: mechanics of the vocal instrument; preparation for singing (warm-ups); airflow (breathing); tone creation and placement; scales, octaves and theory; vocal maintenance &more.
$20/mo- Yearly supply fee of $20 per student
PRIVATE VOCAL TRAINING- Ages 12 & up,
(Prerequisite:Completed Group Voice I (or concurrent enrollment) and/or permission of instructor),
Each 30 minute lesson is individually designed for the student and will include one-on-one training in basic vocal technique as well as vocal performance coaching. Lessons are scheduled with instructor.
$25 per lesson (paid monthly), Semester supply fee of $15 per student.

To participate in LYT's Spring Musical, students ages 9-18 must be enrolled in a LYT class by the beginning of October. This ensures that everyone has the full information about auditions and production details. Drama class registration will be closed after that date.
